Donation Services
After running a loan signing business for years, I learned that despite what the media wants you to think, 99% of people are nice and quite friendly. Recently I have taken my customer service skills from the signing business to Junk Removal. And so far, my theory has remained. We recently added donation services to Pine State Hauling and Junk Removal and it has been an honor to be part of the process of taking someone’s old furniture and providing that to people who need it. We are currently working with Habitat for Humanity’s Restore, based in Portland, and Furniture Friends, based in Westbrook, Maine.
Recently, it was our privilege to assist an elderly couple here in Portland Maine. They decided to donate some of their household items to Furniture Friends. Unfortunately, Furniture Friends was unable to take some of the items but that was ok as we just brought those items to be dumped and recycled.
When we first arrived, the couple introduced themselves with great big smiles and a few additional requests. The elderly gentleman, having a hard time standing straight, looks at me and asks if we could possibly help move the furniture in one bedroom into the bedroom across the hallway, which is the bedroom they currently use. It was clear that this was something that he either could not do or would injure himself trying. Without hesitation, my helper Lance and I jumped on the opportunity to make the living space better for this wonderful couple.
When we were done with all the donations and junk removal tasks, we jumped right on rearranging the furniture in their home and they were delighted. It’s moments like this that make our job as Junk Removal and Demolition experts worth every minute of service when we are done. Pine State Hauling and Junk Removal are ready for any and all Junk Removal jobs, big or small and we will go above and beyond, within reason, for all our customers.
