I received a call in November from Jane, who needed assistance cleaning out her mother’s condo in Falmouth, Maine. She had recently been placed in an assisted living facility and wanted the condo cleared out. I told Jane that I would come to the property that day to give an estimate, and if she wanted to move forward with the job, I could begin the property cleanout immediately. After completing a furniture removal job in Portland, I headed straight to Falmouth and quickly walked through the property to give Jane an estimate. She agreed to the estimate and asked me to proceed with the cleanout.
During the cleanout, I asked Jane to take any items that she did not want to be thrown away or donated. It is important to me to ensure that family members have the opportunity to take any items that hold sentimental value or are important to them. As we cleaned out the property, I realized that the job was larger than I had initially anticipated, requiring us to cut up a couch and a large bureau. Despite the added work, we were able to finish most of the job in one afternoon and completed it the next morning. In total, we filled two 15-foot box trucks. While cleaning I came across a couple of sterling silver spoons that happen to be from Tiffany and Co, which was really intriguing as this is a nice collection of silverware. The spoons were part of a bigger collection that was worth thousands but the whole collection was not intact. Still a really cool find during a junk removal job!
Jane was very happy with our service, as she had expected it to take months to find someone to schedule and complete the cleanout. She was surprised that we were able to finish the job within 16 hours of her initial phone call. Pine State Hauling and Junk Removal exceeded her expectations and we went above and beyond for another happy client.
